On September 29, at a gala event in Orange County, the Cucamonga Service Station was honored with a Preservation Design Award from the California Preservation Foundation. This award recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of historic preservation. Accepting the award on behalf of the Station was Anthony Gonzalez, Presid...ent of Route 66 Inland Empire California Association (IECA); Joe Ramos, Architect; and David Dunlap, Board Member of Route 66 IECA, who submitted the application for the award. Mr. Gonzalez stated, “23 other awards were given in other fields, but to be one of the two out of 87 to be given the Preservation Design Award is outstanding.” See More
