Hear Our Voices - dA Community Concert for a Cause Sunday, November 20, at 5 pm
Valeka Williams sang the National Anthem at the Grand Opening of 1st District Supervisor Hilda Solis’ San Gabriel Valley Office. It was a moment to cherish. From there Valeka was asked to share her amazing talent with the community some way at the dA. The exchanges resulted in a community concert titled Hear Our Voices on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 5 pm. Valera has curated a stellar line up of artists for the concert with the help of Vincent Fossett and Tyrone Stokes of Dope Spot Studios in Pomona, CA.
Valeka’s desire is to build community through the arts and to bring awareness to Ethel Gardner’s Kennedy Austin Foundation here in Pomona through song and poetry. The Kennedy Austin Foundation (KAF) is a Non-Profit Wellness and Crisis Intervention Center that educates, equips, and empowers individuals and families to overcome the effects of major loss. KAF offers counseling and wellness services to provide hope and restoration of body, mind, and soul.
This concert is for all ages to enjoy. Doors open at 4:45 pm and it will be first come first serve for seating.
