Large sinkhole shuts down streets in Riverside

 

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) --

Crews were working to repair a large sinkhole in Riverside Tuesday morning.

Portions of McAllister Street and Victoria Avenue were closed due to the sinkhole.

According to Riverside Public Utilities, there was a leak coming from a 20-inch cast iron pipe.

Repairs were underway, but it was unclear how long it would take and when roads would reopen to commuters.
