The Christmas on Euclid Experience

Christmas is coming, and it comes on Friday, Dec. 2, to Ontario.
The Christmas on Euclid Experience returns to Ontario when Historic Euclid Avenue is again transformed into a winter wonderland with spectaular lights, community nativity scenes and family activities. The Christmas on Euclid experience has been a tradition in Ontario since 1922.
The 12 nativity scenes displayed on the Euclid Avenue median have been supported by the community since 1958.  “The nativity scenes are one of the region's most notable works of art done by a very famous local artist Rudolph Vargas." Said Michael Krouse, president and CEO of the Greater Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau.  “We welcome visitors and our local community to be a part of this month-long event, from live music and dancers to play time in the snow and appreciation of art – we have something for everyone.”

The city’s tree tighting ceremony will take place on Friday, Dec. 2, from 6-10 p.m. at Ontario Town Square, with a family-friendly movie following the festivities.
On the morning of Saturday, Dec. 3, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will meet visitors for breakfast at the Ontario Senior Center at 9 a.m., taking time afterward to visit with children for photographs. Reservations for the events are $8 per person and $4 for kids 2 and younger.
There will also be a holiday market, snow play and ice skating, a Christmas tree farm, live performances and family activities throughout the day on Dec. 3. There also will be several performances, including Jim Curry’s tribute to the John Denver Christmas.
The fun will continue each weekend in December with free family activities, live entertainment and more. Check the Christmas on Euclid website (ChristmasOnEuclid.com) for entertainment schedule.
