UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Victim of a Shooting Case



Suspect: Daniel Bandera-Huizar (Pomona Resident), 20 YOA

Pomona Police Patrol Officers located Daniel Bandera-Huizar at his residence and arrested him in connection to the shooting. Bandera-Huizar is suspected of using a semi-automatic pistol to shoot at the victim. Officers obtained a search warrant for his residence and recovered what is believed to be the weapon used during the commission of the crime. Also located was a cache of rifles.

Bandera-Huiziar was booked at a local jail facility and charged with PC 664/187-Attempted Murder and other additional charges related to the incident.


DATE / TIME: Saturday November 5, 2016 5:10pm LOCATION: In the area of San Antonio Ave. and Kingsley Ave. CRIME: 245 (a)(2)PC - Assault with a deadly Weapon VICTIM: Male, Hispanic approximately 18 years old SUSPECT: Unknown SUSPECT VEHICLE: Newer model gray Chevrolet Impala UNIT: Patrol Division On today's date and time a shooting occurred in the area of north San Antonio Ave. and east Kingsley Ave. Unknown suspect(s) in a gray Impala shot at the victim's vehicle and struck him in the upper torso. The suspect(s) fled northbound San Antonio and out of the area. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Officers are currently conducting follow-up and the motive for this shooting is unknown at this time.
