Read about Concert Artists & Pomona Leader - I am Valeka Williams and I am a mother of four beautiful children. I am the youngest of four and we were raised as a musically inclined family. I grew up singing in a group with my sisters and as I we got older we begin to live our own lives... but never leaving what we were taught. My inspirations came from my Grandmother, as a young child I watched her reach out to the community. She had such a big heart for people. I remember one day coming home from school and seeing the neighbors leaving with bags of ice cream and other good stuff. She would feed families and would always keep busy with helping different ones. No matter who called on her she was there for them. She was a good fund raiser, she would put on programs and the people would come out and support her as she do the same for them. I guess it is safe to say that it trickled on down to me. I don’t have much but as Peter said in the bible and I quote “Silver and Gold have I none, but such as I have I give unto the… and that’s something I try to live by every day. It’s very important to be a helper to people and when you see your fellowman in need we should be there for that person. Being helpers one to another is what makes a community great. See More
