In March 1916, the inaugural edition of El Amigo, the Hotpoint employee newsletter, announced that the Ontario plant wanted to develop a baseball team “for a series to be played during the coming Spring and Summer months.” The team wore blue and white uniforms and Alexander “Scotty” Clarke, pictured at the far right, was their manager.
