Two gang members arrested with loaded firearm

Crime:

• 29800 (a)(1) PC- Felon possession of a firearm
• 30305 (a) PC- Felon possession of ammunition
• 25850(c)(3) PC- Unregistered firearm
• 3454 PC- Probation Violation

Suspect:

• Bautista, David, a 24 Year Old Pomona Resident
• Sosa, Isaac Jr, a 35 Year Old Pomona Resident

Narrative:
On Saturday, February 24th, 2018, around 5:00 PM, members of the Pomona Police Department's Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) were conducting follow up on a “Crime Stoppers” tip given by you the concerned resident. We were focusing our attention to the Hamilton Park area for gang members loitering. Undercover and uniformed Officers saturated the area of the Park and located two known Pomona Gang members. During the course of the investigation a loaded firearm was recovered.
Bautista was placed under arrest on suspicion of;

• 29800 (a)(1) PC- Felon possession of a firearm
• 30305 (a) PC- Felon possession of ammunition
• 25850(c)(3) PC- Unregistered firearm

Sosa was placed under arrest on a probation violation.
 
Both Bautista and Sosa were booked at the Pomona City Jail.
