Pomona PD conducts nighttime homeless encampment detail.

The HEART team was deployed tonight, Thursday, March 8th, to address homeless encampment issues affecting the quality of life for citizens in the city of Pomona. The locations covered in the nighttime detail included city parks and other problem areas of concern reported by citizens. 

Due to the HEART team and Homeless Liaisons' efforts and hard work, resulted in the following statistics;

• 17 Total Arrests
  • One No Bail Warrant
• Eleven (11) Encampments were located and dismantled
• Six (6) City Parks were checked; Civic Center, Ganesha, Ted Greene, Willie White, Palomares, and MLK
• 28 Field Interview cards were completed with outreach provided
• Two citations were issued, one of which was for a Modified Replica Firearm
