Todays find and......
I found these two books in the trash, nothing wrong with them. It gets my goat, when someone didn't want these anymore, so they toss them in the trash. Instead of passing them along, to another child.
And speaking of, if I find a little library, I'll take these and drop them off.
So if anyone would like to have a little library in their neighborhood, these are the people to contact.

ART in the Park and Start It Up Exhibition, 3 Dates · Apr 27 - Apr 29
Completing its seventh year, high school members of Project ARTstART will plan, curate, and install ARTstART: StART It Up, an overview exhibition that includes works on paper, collage, sculptures, and paintings from each of the art units presented to 4-6th grade classes at Mountain View, Oakmont, Sumner, Sycamore and Vista del Valle elementary schools.
As part of this year's exhibition, ARTstARTers will host art-making activities for visitors of all ages at ART in the Park on
Friday afternoon 27 April from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in Memorial Park
The StART It Up exhibition will be on view in the nearby Claremont Heritage Ginger Elliott Exhibition Center. The exhibition will also be open on Saturday, 28 April and Sunday, 29 April from noon to 4:00 p.m.

Project ARTstART is produced solely by the Claremont Museum of Art in partnership with the Claremont Unified School District (CUSD); and serves students from eight participating schools — Chaparral, Condit, Mountain View, Oakmont, Sumner, Sycamore and Vista del Valle Elementary Schools and Claremont High School; and is funded by generous donations from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission; the Claremont Educational Foundation Partnership Grant (CEF); funds from the City of Claremont Community-Based Organization (CBO); the City of Claremont Teen Council; the Claremont Faculty Association; Scripps College Fine Arts Foundation; and two CMA member major donors.

The Dope Open Mic
The Dope Open Mics are hosted by The Dope Spot brand in hopes to cultivate an environment where anyone and everyone can express themselves however they like whether it be through Rap, Poetry, Singing, Comedy or even just starting a discussion. We want everyone to feel as though they can come to our Open Mics and work on their craft without feeling intimidated or unwelcome.
EVENT TIME:
Sign Ups for the Open Mic at 7pm
Show begins promptly at 7:30pm
Note: If you show up after 7:30pm, you can still sign up, but there is no guarantee that you will be able to perform depending on how many performers have already signed up.
ADMISSION:
$3 Donation
Proceeds will go towards The dA Center for the Arts in order to keep the place up and running and also help us to continue hosting our Open Mics at the venue.
See you there and don't forget to invite a friend!

We are excited to be part of this FREE Community Event...put on by the community, for the community!
Join us on May 19, 2018 from 10AM-2PM for the 1st Annual Pomona Children’s Festival in the Civic Center grounds. There will be special tours for the children of Council Chambers, City Hall, and the Library. There will also be the Pomona Kite Festival and flying our handmade kites in the Civic Center. This is a FREE event!
Exciting activities for all ages, Community Sports sign ups, Learning Experiences, and so much more. For our young kids (although you’re never too young to dress up), dress up like your favorite superhero!
Don’t forget to walk over and visit the Pomona Police Open House where you can learn about Crime Scene Investigation, walk through a jail cell, and even meet their incredible K9 officers.

Parents can learn about earthquake preparedness, how to get their children into college and even get a free health screening.

Good old fashion police work results in the arrest of an armed gang member wanted for robbery
DATE/TIME: Tuesday April 24, 2018 @7:00 pm
LOCATION: 615 E. Arrow Hwy. Pomona
CRIME: 11370.1 H/S - Possession of Narcotics while Armed, 211PC - Robbery Warrant
SUSPECT: Rodney Johnson DOB 19 yrs. old - Pomona resident
UNIT: PATROL
Pomona Officers were on routine patrol in the area of Towne Ave. and Arrow Hwy. when they observed suspect Johnson walking. Officers were aware that Johnson was on active Probation and currently wanted for robbery. Johnson observed the officers and immediately fled on foot discarding a loaded handgun with a thirty round ammunition clip and a backpack containing narcotics. Suspect Johnson attempted to evade officers by entering a nearby convenience store but was shortly apprehended and transported to jail.
