Gang member with guns, narcotics arrested by MCTF

Crime:
  • 29800 (a)(1) PC- Felon possession of a firearm pending DNA
  • 11378 HS- Possession for sales of a controlled substance
Suspect:
  • Mathew Moore, a 37 Year Old Pomona Resident
Unit:
  • The Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force


    Narrative:
On Thursday, April 12, 2018, around 5:00 PM, members of the Pomona Police Department's Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) were conducting surveillance in the 2100 block of Arroyo Av., in the city of Pomona. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Suspect Moore that lead to additional follow up. During the traffic stop and information gleaned from a subsequent investigation, officers were able to obtain a search warrant for Suspect’s Moore residence.  
The investigation and service of the search warrant yielded approximately six ounces of narcotics and three firearms. The suspect is a known Pomona gang member with a long criminal history. Suspect Moore was later booked at the Pomona city Jail.
