The Pomona Police Major Crimes Task Force locates 170 pounds of marijuana and three assault type rifles during a search warrant

Narrative:

On Wednesday April 11, 2018, and at approximately 0005 hours the Pomona Police Department Major Crimes Task Force was assisted by the Pomona Police Department’s SWAT team with the execution of a search warrant. The Major Crimes Task Force obtained information through gathered intelligence of a possible narcotic and firearms dealer. The nexus between the city of Montclair and the city of Pomona was that Tom McGhuey was providing narcotics and firearms to Pomona gang members.

The Task Force obtained a search warrant for Suspect McGhuey’s place of business/ residence. The search warrant was executed by the Pomona Police SWAT team where three assault type rifles were located along with 170 pounds of suspected marijuana and several live rounds of high caliber ammunition. Suspect McGuey was arrested on the above listed charges and was transported to the West Valley Detention center for booking and housing.
