Every month of May the dA looks forward to showcasing the talented youth from Pomona during the Pomona Unified School District's Emerging Artists exhibition. This exhibition gives the youth and their art teachers a time to shine and we appreciate the chance to meet the artists, view their artwork and to have a conversation with them about their thoughts and vision for the future.
Also featured in the dA's May exhibition are the winning entries for the
City of Pomona's Cultural Arts Commission's Water Color Contest. This year's theme is “My Pomona” (Places, Faces, Spaces). There is great art for all to enjoy and some of the work is for sale.
Join us on Saturday, May 5th from 5-5:30pm to honor this year's high school watercolor contest winners as well as the recipients of the dA's Dee Marcellus Cole Award, the Frank Garcia award, the Samee Ochoa Award, and the Joan Weldon Award at The dA Center for the Arts in Downtown Pomona.
The artwork will be on view May 5 - May 19, 2018.
Gallery Hours :
Wednesday - Saturday Noon - 4 pm | 2nd Saturday & Thursdays Noon - 9 pm
