The 12th Annual Pomona Chalk Art Festival is hosted by the City of Pomona Cultural Arts Commission and is free and open to the public! Students from Pomona Unified School District, School of Arts & Enterprise, City of Knowledge School, Pomona Catholic, home schools, and more are encouraged to participate. All ages and skill levels welcome.

7:30-8:00 a.m: Check-in and Free Breakfast
8:00 a.m: Start of Festival - Chalking Begins
9:30 a.m: Registration closes
11:30-12:00 p.m: Recognition Ceremony and Raffle for Non-Competing Students and Families.
1:30- 2:15 p.m: Judging / Entertainment / Clean Up
2:15-2:45 p.m: Recognition Ceremony for Competing Students/Professionals & Announcement of Winners

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
Participants in all categories listed, STUDENT and MULTI-AGE/FAMILY MUST work on a TEAM of 2-4 participants. You must submit a form for everyone on the team.
Space Dimensions:
Elementary/Middle School Student and Multi-Age/Family Teams: 5’x6’ (maximum)
High School Student Teams: 10’x12’ (maximum)
Professional: 10'x12’ (maximum)
Prizes/Raffles:
HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS
On the day of the event, Student Teams will have a CHOICE: Have artwork judged as a COMPETITION for cash prizes OR enter a RAFFLE for art supplies. You must be present for the raffle.
For students who enter the competition there will be a $25 gift card prize for each of the 5 winning teams in the following categories:
1. Best Use of Theme
2. Best Use of Color
3. Best Use of Materials
4. Most Creative Concept
5. Best Team Work
ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL/MULTI-AGE/FAMILY TEAMS
Names of teams will be entered for a raffle. You must be present for the raffle.
Elementary/Middle School Teams will win art supplies
Multi-Age/Family Teams will win Barnes and Nobles Gift Certificates.
PROFESSIONAL (Individual)
$100 Cash Prize for winning artist.
OTHER EVENT INFORMATION
*Each participant must complete a participation form and submit by November 5th.
*Four (4) participants is the maximum number of participants on STUDENT and MULTI-AGE Teams.
*Each participant receives one box of pastel chalk, an event t-shirt, and breakfast.
*Kiwanis Lunch Purchasing
*PUSD Saturday School credit available at participating sites.
