Students are guided through exercises designed to enhance seeing and drawing skills. Students use graphite pencils and paper to learn drawing basics, including heightened looking, awareness of proportions, gesture of marks, effective line quality and indication of values through shading, increased understanding of composition and design, and other drawing techniques and tools to aid in expression and study. Students should bring an assortment of drawing pencils and some drawing paper (sketchbook).
