MAR 11 Pomona Community Open House

Details
Major construction on the Foothill Gold Line light rail project will begin late this summer. Ahead of major construction starting, the Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority invites you to attend a community open house to learn the latest about the project, meet the recently hired Kiewit-Parsons design-build team, and to understand how and when construction may impact you. The station artists will also be available to discuss the public artwork planned for their station, at their city-specific meetings.

All meetings will have the same displays and information, including the latest station layouts, 3D models, station art plans, project schedule and what to expect during major construction – so attend the one that is most convenient for you. Each station’s artist will also be in attendance at their respective city’s meeting.

Pomona station artist Stephen Farley will be in attendance at this meeting.

See all meeting dates and locations here: https://www.facebook.com/iwillride/events/

NOTE: Future meetings will be held in Claremont and Montclair when funding is secured.

About the Project: The Foothill Gold Line light rail project from Glendora to Montclair will extend Metro Gold Line service to the cities of Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont and Montclair. The first nine miles of the project, from Glendora to Pomona, is fully funded and will begin major construction in late summer (and take five years to complete). If additional funding is secured before October 2021, the entire project from Glendora to Montclair will be completed altogether and take eight years. The project is mostly funded by LA County’s Measure M and state funds (including SB1).
