Officer Shaun Diamond, who succumbed to a gunshot wound on October 29, 2014. Officer Diamond had been injured the day before while serving as an Operator on the Pomona PD SWAT Team. The Pomona PD SWAT Team was serving a gang related search warrant in the City of San Gabriel when he was shot.
Officer Diamond was a 16 year law enforcement veteran, who served 8 of those years with the Pomona Police Department.
This morning, in honor and remembrance of Shaun, we hosted a private memorial ceremony outside the police station.
We will never forget Officer Shaun Diamond.
