Summer Movies in the Park!
The City of Pomona and Day One present: Summer Movies in the Park! Join us for SHREK at Ralph Welch Park!

AUG 4 Sunrise Hike Over Pomona
Join us for a community hike over the City of Pomona!
We will meet at the bottom of the trail and start hiking up at 5 am in order to make it to the top of the hill in time to watch the sunrise over the city. The event will include art pieces from The dA Center for the Arts. The event will include a locally harvested meal for a $10 donation that will go towards the Pomona Students Union.
All are welcome so bring your friends and family and let's join together for some outdoor bonding time! We hope to see you there!

Often times Photography and Poetry are categorized in two different worlds. Yet Photography and Poetry have many things in common. Join Wendy to see just how these two worlds can be combined.Journals and Writing instruments can be provided, although own supplies are welcomed.
AUG 11 The Incongruous Body- Opening Reception
The American Museum of Ceramic Art (AMOCA) is proud to present The Incongruous Body, curated by Tim Berg who brings together fourteen artists who represent, stylize, hybridize, and deconstruct the human body to starkly different comic effect. In this exposure, it invites the viewer to revel in the awkward, to embrace the weird and to scrutinize a little bit too closely themselves and the world of which we are all a part.

Junior Aviator’s Day
This Saturday: Junior Aviators Day at the Living History Flying Event August 4, 2018!
Junior Aviator’s Day is where kids discover and explore the wonders of flight. All children 11 years and under are admitted free (with a paid adult)* and have unlimited access to all the Museum has to offer. Some special events for Junior Aviator’s Day include:
Build a Model H-2-0 Bottle Airplane!
Using nothing more than a water bottle and some craft paper, anyone can build an impressive and fun “Bottle Airplane.” Kids will learn the parts of an airplane and what they do as they build and decorate and then “take-off” from our runway and fly. This project is a real hit and a keepsake!
Off to the Air Races!
How fast can your airplane go? We’ve got a race track all set up and kids will be able to choose their airplane and enter a race to win! Lots of fun and prizes too!
Explore Plastic Model Airplanes
Plastic modeling is a wonderful way to introduce aircraft and their history to everyone. The Museum features thousands of plastic models on display and our professional modelers will explain this wonderful hobby. Model kits are available in the Gift Shop for purchase.
Discover “My Little Airplane”
It’s amazing what a little imagination can create! My Little Airplane teaches the youngest of our visitors how an airplane works as they discover how every day “candy” items can go together to make their very own plane. Along the way, they’ll learn why airplanes have the parts that they do!
Learn the Parts of a Plane
Using a real airplane, our Museum Guides will teach visitors all about the various parts of an airplane – what they’re for and what they do. A great way for kids to understand how an airplane works!
