Claremont Police Say 'Career Criminal' Responsible for String of Thefts


A man Claremont city officials called a career criminal was jailed on suspicion he committed several burglaries in the area.
Anthony Hernandez, 26, of Chino, was arrested June 6. Police say he is a suspect in auto burglaries that occurred off Pomello Drive, as well as a break-in at Western Christian School on Padua Avenue.
Hernandez admitted to committing six different crimes in Claremont and an investigation has tied him to 10 additional crimes in the surrounding cities, detectives said.
Police said Hernandez he has numerous prior arrests.
