Multiple Vehicle Crash on 60 Snarls Walnut Traffic
A crash Saturday on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway blocked the far right lane and led to the investigation of a driver who allegedly tried to leave the scene, the California Highway Patrol reported.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in the 11 a.m. crash just west of Azusa Avenue, but apparently one of the vehicles tried to drive off.
The crash reportedly involved a gray truck, a white Nissan van and a white Toyota Corolla, according to the CHP.
According to a witness, the van's driver tried to move on but was stopped.
An off-duty sheriff's deputy saw the move and pulled over the Nissan SV van by pulling in front of it and forcing it to the roadside, according to the California Highway Patrol.
