Could Venice Eventually Land Up Under Water?

Pittsburgh-based artist and researcher Nickolay Lamm has created images showing what nine popular cities – including Venice Beach – will look like if sea levels continue to rise.
Using animated GIFs and illustrations, Pittsburgh-based artist and researcher Nickolay Lamm has created a vision of what Venice Beach – and eight other popular cities on the West Coast – will look like if sea levels continue to rise, reports Discovery Earth.
Could Venice eventually be completely under water? Apparently, according to Lamm, who used data and maps from Climate Central.
Discovery Earth reports that last year Climate Central scientists published a paper that assessed what a sea level rise between three and about 20 feet — or one to six meters — above high tide would mean to coastal states by the end of the century. If all the ice melts in the next few hundred years, the oceans will rise between 20 to 30 feet.
