CV Sheriff's Station Support Group to Host Golf Classic

The Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station Support Group is holding its 30th Annual Golf Classic on August 19 at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club.

The event raises money for the station, and helps pay for items the deputies need, said Sgt. Burton Brink, who attended last year's outing.

Although he, personally, doesn't swing the clubs, Brink said the event was a lot of fun.
"It's nice to mingle with the community,'' he said.

This event is put on by the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Support Group, a non-profit organization. Proceeds will benefit the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station and its volunteers.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. with a tee-time of 1 p.m. The country club is located at 5500 North Godbey Drive, La Canada, CA 91011.
