Bear Wanders Through Claremont Neighborhoods
Claremont Police said the bear helped itself to trash bins and backyards before heading back into the wilderness on its own.
A bear decided to pay a few Claremont neighborhoods a visit Thursday night.
Claremont Police reported calls about a bear rummaging through trash bins and jumping into backyards at around 9 p.m. near the corner of Independence Drive and Dillard Avenue.
The bear eventually wandered back into the foothills on its own. The bear or any residents were not injured during the bear’s visit. Claremont Police said there was no significant damage to properties.
