Beverly Hills International Music Festival Gets Underway

The tenth annual Beverly Hills International Music Festival kicks off on Friday.

About 60 young musicians are expected to participate this year from the United States as well as countries including, Japan, Romania and Korea.

Oleh Krysa, Sachika Mizuno, Jean-David Coen and Kaoru Ono are among the international music stars who are scheduled to take part, according to Godfrey Harris, vice president and marketing coordinator.

The festival also includes coaching on a daily basis as well as master classes for music students.

The festival, which is held under the auspices of founder and artistic directory Gregory Cherninsky, will take place Friday through Sunday, Aug. 11, at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills located at 8844 Burton Way.
