The producers of the Oscars make the announcement on Friday.
Ellen DeGeneres will host the Academy Awards in March, the second time she will have done so, the show's producers announced today.
"We are thrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres host the Oscars,'' producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement.
DeGeneres hosted the 79th Academy Awards in 2007 and was nominated for an Emmy for her efforts.
The next Academy Awards presentation will be at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland on Sunday, March 2, and aired live on ABC.
