UPDATE: 1,700 Still Affected by Power Outage in Marina del Rey, Venice
An unplanned power outage in Marina del Rey and parts of Venice started at 8:21 a.m., according to Southern California Edison.
More than 1,700 Southern California Edison customers in Marina del Rey and Venice are still without power Thursday afternoon after an unplanned outage hit the area, knocking out power to 4,200 customers.
According to Southern California Edison spokesman Paul Klein, power was restored to approximately 2,500 customers before noon Thursday, leaving 1,700 still without power.
There was no word on when power would be restored to the remaining 1,700 customers. According to Klein, crews originally expected to restore all power to the area by noon.
The outage initially began at 8:21 a.m. There was no word yet on what caused the outage.
