What's going on, at the Los Angeles County Fair today



Here’s a list of programs and deals for Thursday, Sept. 25 today. More information can be found at www.lacountyfair.com.

Today’s hours: Noon – 11 p.m.
Today’s Deals:

T-Mobile Thursdays presented by T-Mobile, $25: admission & a carnival ride wristband, available in participating stores. Good Thursdays only.
UC Riverside and UC Irvine Day: Students, faculty and staff receive free admission with valid photo ID or business card. Alumni will receive half-price admission. Coupon or voucher required for all college day discounts. Participants are encouraged to wear school colors.

LACF School Supply Drive: Free admission with donation Thursdays, noon-6 p.m. Donate at least five new or unwrapped school supplies.
Seasonal Pass, $24.99 for ages 6 and older.
$5 After 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays only: Go to www.lacountyfair.com for coupon. Guests must print coupon to receive discount.
Ralphs Any-Day Tickets: Admission tickets $11 for adults, $6 for ages 6-12, comes with exclusive unlimited carnival ride wristband ($35). Restrictions apply. Presented by Ralphs.
Cardenas Markets Any-Day Tickets: Admission tickets are $11 for adults, $6 for ages 6-12. Tickets can be picked up at participating Cardenas locations.

Costco Savings Pack: $54.99 for four any-day tickets, one parking pass and 44 carnival ride/game tickets. At participating Costco stores.
Happy Hour: $2 off draft beer and margaritas 4-7 p.m.
Today’s Top Things To Do:
Monster Truck Mayhem: They’re big, they’re loud and they’re really popular. Join in the fun when monster trucks tear it up in the Grandstand. A limited number of free general admission tickets will be available beginning at 3 p.m. at the ticket kiosk on Rose Lane. Reserved seats are available at ticketmaster.com and the Fair box office. 7:30 p.m.
Battle of the Bands Finale: After a fierce competition, the Battle of the Bands finale will take place from 6-11 p.m. at the Gold Mine Stage presented by Coca-Cola. Of the 24 bands that entered this competition, there are now only eight bands left. Make sure you visit LACF and cheer for your favorite bands as they compete for a cash prize and a chance to play at the 2015 Vans Warped Tour at Fairplex.
The Farm: Daily. There is a lot to do at The Farm, whether it’s visiting the baby animals at Zuckerman’s Nursery, chatting with cowboy Sky Shivers about the Zorse or Zonkey, or enjoying a show in Thummer’s Entertainment Barn.

Chino Day: Celebrate the city and its Community Heroes. Community heroes are honored at 4:15 p.m. in Court of the Redwoods, with a parade that follows at 5 p.m. Residents receive $5 admission with online purchase using promo code Chino available at lacountyfair.com or by presenting a Chino Day at the Fair coupon at any LACF admission gate. Community heroes are Jim & Kasey Powderly and Anupriya Sivakumar.
China: Daily. Travel across the Pacific and enjoy the beauty of China in the Flower & Garden Pavilion and Atrium. Flowers have a powerful meaning in Chinese art and poetry and will enchant Fairguests while they weave their way through this living attraction. The Atrium hosts the tropical rainforests of China with animals and plants native to the exotic Far East country.

Carnival: Daily. Ray Cammack Shows returns for its 29th year with the best carnival around.
Person to Person (Boogie Train): Daily. Celebrate the ‘70s with Person to Person as they take you on a magical journey through the famous songs of these memorable eras. Check your Daily Fun Guide for showtimes.
Live Shark Encounter: Daily. Come face-to-face with the sharks swimming around in our 5,000-gallon tank. Hear from shark experts on the nature of these giant marine critters. Showtimes: 3:30, 7 & 9 p.m.

Book Adventure: Daily. Beloved children’s books come to life in America’s Kids: Adventures in Literature. America’s Kid is in a new home, Expo Hall 5.
