Stan Klausner moved to California in 1973 and heard about “pandemoniums” or flocks of parrots roaming Southern California. Klausner creates ceramic cartoons of parrots that reveal human attributes and personalities while they perform activities in ways that mimic interpersonal relationships. He used a primitive expressionistic style to emphasize motion and emotion.
