Doo Dah parade


 
In the fall each year Pasadena has the Doo Dah parade where local eccentrics, pundits, steam punks, and merrymakers present a of inventive array of zany in the form of art bikes, cars and floats. The Doo dah parade is also know the twisted sister of the conventional Rose Parade.

Pasadena has the Doo Dah Parade and now, Pomona will have the dA Doo parade lead by Grand Marshall Kryk Stiffler. Get your DIY on and let your imagination soar. The dA is hoping for a great movable feast of creative expression and ingenuity. Participants will stroll 2nd Street and meander the Shawn Diamond Plaza.

The “Mask Parade” invites everyone to participate in the celebration of the cultural and ethnic diversities throughou...t Pomona Valley. No registration is required and you may participate in the march as a viewer. Wear a mask to display your beliefs, your culture, your imagination, or your dreams. The parade is a place where you can freely express you individuality as you participate with others from the community. Pre-made masks will be available for donation or create your own. DA Gallery will display all masks from the parade in an outdoor display during the opening festivities.

Assemble for the parade at 4:30 pm in the parking lot of “The Tower” (Main Street & Second Street) located in the Pomona Arts Colony. The parade travels east along Second Street to the corner of Garey Avenue and Second Street.
