Police Say They've Arrested Three Caught in the Middle of Burglarly

According to a report by City Manager Tony Ramos, a resident noticed a suspicious vehicle in front of a home in the 400 block of Marygrove at 1:51 a.m. on May 23. The witness would later tell police that someone got out of the vehicle, walked to the side of a home and took large items from the side yard of the residence, according to the report.

The neighbor quickly called 9-1-1, officials said. Responding officers said they caught the suspects in the act of stealing yard equipment.

A search of the vehicle turned up more stolen property, authorities said. Three suspects were arrested and booked into the Claremont Police Department Jail on suspicion of possession of stolen property. Their bail was set at $20,000, according to the report.

Police officials and local citizen watchdog organizations encourage residents and business owners to be mindful of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to Claremont Police, (909) 399-5411.
